Titus 2 Women's Ministry

“Older women likewise as to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.”
Titus 2:2-5

Titus 2 is a ministry of our church that features women of all ages meeting monthly for a wonderful time of study and fellowship.  We meet monthly with the goal of helping each other live out the mandate above for older and younger women.

Generally, the Titus 2 group meets on the third Monday of each month from 7:00-8:30 p.m.  Currently the meetings are at the home of one of the ladies in the congregation, with a Zoom link made available for those who are unable to meet in person.

This year we plan to read and discuss Living Life Backward: How Ecclesiastes Teaches Us to Live in Light of the End by David Gibson.

Here is a synopsis of the book:

Only by keeping the end in mind can a person truly learn how to live in the here and now. Living in light of our death reorients us to our limitations as creatures and helps us see God's good gifts right in front of us-enabling us to live wisely, freely, and generously. Drawing on wisdom from the book of Ecclesiastes, David Gibson teaches us to embrace this countercultural mind-set and live life backward: to take the one thing in the future that is certain-our death-and work backward when it comes to our priorities, goals, desires, and decisions. If we do this, we'll learn that only with a proper perspective on death can we find meaning and satisfaction in life--and see just how great God is.

We believe this book will help us accomplish our Titus 2 goal to stimulate one another to love, good deeds, and a deeper walk with Christ. We hope you will join us.
