The Director of the program is John Russell, 412-366-1804 or rssj7@aol.com.  Classes will begin on September 14 for those for whom English is not their native language, and who want to improve their ability to speak English.  Students may enroll by phone or e-mail before September 14 or on any Wednesday throughout the semester at 7:00 p.m. at the church.

The classes are free and the teachers are unpaid qualified volunteers who want to help those who desire to speak English better.  There will be teachers for those who speak little or no English.  There will also be teachers for those who know enough English just to “get by”, and for those who want to feel more comfortable conversing at work, at school and in the community.  The goal is to make this fun, and at the same time to improve conversational English.  These classes are designed to help meet the needs of a growing number of international people who are moving into the area.  Anyone who would like to learn English as a second language is welcome.  Classes will continue until May.
