• Lead the congregation in discerning mercy needs
• Maintain an active ministry of stewardship of Congregational assets and finances

2010 MINISTRY RECAP

• Organized two works days at the church to care for our building and grounds
• Supported the Youth in carrying out two work days at Kim Johovich’s house
• Coordinated giving to help with the Haiti earthquake relief effort
• Coordinated food drive for seminary students. 30 boxes of food were organized by the Youth and distributed to RP students at RPTS.
• Undesignated Giving for the first and fourth quarters were over budget, so additional funds were distributed according to a pre-approved formula of 50% to the Building Fund, 40% Ministries, 10% for operating overruns.
  • 1st Qtr Excess Giving went to the following ministry opportunities: Japanese seminary student, RP Home, Associate Pastor bonus, PRISM, and Light of Life Ministries
  • 4th Qtr Excess Giving went to the following ministry opportunities: RP Home, RPTS, PRISM, Reformation Society, Light of Life, Associate Pastor bonus
• The Deacons want to thank Noemi Ramos for her diligent and excellent work over the last 2 years or so as Custodian. She has been a hard act to follow.

2011 PREVIEW / SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES

• The Deacons desire to continue to improve our mercy ministry efforts. Please let the Deacons know your thoughts and ideas about this.
• We will continue to organize work days for the church and friends in need. Please let us know about needs that you or other may have.
• As we see the Building Fund growing little by little, we are prayerfully considering the capital needs of our facilities in 2011.
