George and Danielle are hosting a “Going Away” party at Avonworth Community Park for those who wish to see them off. (George has accepted a call as an associate pastor at the Columbus, IN Reformed Presbyterian Church.) There will be food, and the party will run from 12 noon until 7pm. May 18 – RPTS Commencement

RPTS will be holding its Commencement Exercises on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Church. Two seminary students who have been worshipping with our congregation will be graduating that evening so please consider attending this wonderful evening of celebration.

In conjunction with the RPTS Commencement on May 18, if anyone is willing to help with the reception following commencement, from about 8:00 – 10:00 pm, please see Ann O., who will be grateful for any volunteers.

May 17 – Int’l Science & Engineering Fair

Calvin B., a youth in our congregation, completed a project that has been selected as a finalist in the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF) – the world’s largest international pre-college science competition. This year’s fair is being hosted in Pittsburgh at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center on May 17th. The project Calvin created involves using software to enhance memory retention.

The public is invited to see all of the finalists and their projects on May 17th, between 9am – 9pm. More details can be found at the following website: http://www.societyforscience.org/intelisef2012/publicday
