The Program Corner

Dr. Joel Beeke is the main speaker for the adult, college, and high school programs. His theme for the week will be “How to Live the Christian Life,” a topic Christians struggle with each day. Coordinators for all age groups are in place. Go to www.rpinternationalconference.org for more information.

Along with the traditional Psalm sings, seminars, recreation, and special events throughout the week, we are adding a fourth worship service. Past conferees have expressed their joy in the corporate worship services with the RPCNA “choir,” and we are pleased to have another opportunity for worship on the last evening of the conference. Pastors bringing the Word to us during these services include Rich Holdeman, Bruce Martin, and Tim McCracken.

Seminar coordinators James Faris and Dave Hanson are putting together the second hour of the adult morning program and coordinating afternoon seminars. If you have a topic you would like to see discussed or have a presentation you would like to give, please contact either one of them or send an email to programs@rpinternationalconference.org. There is limited time and space for seminars, so please understand that we cannot honor all suggestions.

There are many opportunities for people to serve at the conference. We are looking for high school and middle school counselors, and assistants for the junior program. If you’d like to apply, obtain a letter of recommendation from your session and send an email, with the letter attached, to counselors@rpinternationalconference.org (for a counselor position), or programs@rpinternationalconference.org (for the junior program assistant positions).

Watch for expanded and updated program information on the conference web site, www.rpinternationalconference.org, and in future newsletters.

Registrar’s Reminders

There are new options for registration and lodging for 2012! You can register online at www.rpinternationalconference.org. We prefer online registration, but you may also register by mail. Registration forms have been mailed to each RP congregation (ask your pastor or clerk of session) or the forms can be downloaded from the conference web site. To help answer your questions, we have developed a Q&A page on the web site at www.rpinternationalconference.org/register/qa. Have a question that’s not addressed there? Email the registrars at registrars@rpinternationalconference.org.

The lodging facilities have many options this year, with 1) Standard Dorm Suites, which are 2 bedrooms (2 beds each) sharing a bath; 2) Four-Bedroom Dorm Suites, which contain 4 bedrooms with 2 beds each, a living room and a single large bathroom (available on a first-come, first served basis); 3) Two- and Three-Bedroom Lodge Suites, with each bedroom containing 2 beds, a living room, and a kitchenette (also available on a first-come, first-served basis).

Also new this time is the family discount for lodging. Designed to encourage families with children to attend, this cost savings provided by Indiana Wesleyan has been built into the rates for the suites. Note that this program has specific requirements, which are outlined on the web site and in the printed brochure.

The registrant’s “first-come, first-served” place in line will be the time stamp on their paid online registration or the date we receive your paper registration with deposit. All registrations must be received with a $50 non-refundable deposit. If you register online but prefer to mail a check, your time stamp will be when you registered online, as long as we receive your check within 10 days.
