Feb 19 – 40 Days for Life

40 Days for Life – 40 days for life is not perfect.  However,  It is the way that the church is today witnessing in Pittsburgh against the reality that we, as Americans are killing our sons and daughters because of fear and discontent and violence and oppression and selfishness.

It is one thing to hear a news story about abortion law, or about the hard cases in which it is hard to see any positive outcome of a pregnancy. It is another thing to watch the young mothers and the ‘medical’ personnel walk into the PP building to end these lives.

Leviticus 20:4 says that God will set his face against and cut off Israelites who ignore (hide their eyes from) those who give their children to be burned for Moloch. What can we apply from this portion of Leviticus today?

Our congregation is scheduled to participate in a peaceful, prayerful vigil in front of Planned Parenthood (933 Liberty Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15222) on Monday, February 19th, from 7am to 11am. Participants in the vigil will, for two hours, pray, sing, grieve, pass out literature, hold signs, and call to those entering that there is another way. Some will do only one or two of these things. No-one will shout, argue, belittle, or threaten.

Please talk to Charles if you have questions.
