Directions to Gospel Fellowship Field

Take Route 8 North past the turnpike exit, past the Red Belt, and past where it joins with Route 228.

You will drive up a hill past the intersection of Route 8 and Route 228 with Hammer’s, an ice cream shop, on your left. Continuing on, you’ll eventually pass Glade Run Presbyterian Church on your right. You will go through one stop light (I can’t recall if this is before or after the church).

You will eventually come to a slight downhill and long straightaway stretch, and at this point, you may see signs for both McFann Road (it’s a yellow sign on your right), and for Gospel Fellowship Church (I believe this sign is on your left). Turn left onto McFann road. Once you’re on McFann, as you come over the crest of a small hill, on the right will be a parking lot, and then a gravel/rock driveway going down a sharp but short grade (it is hard to see the driveway from the road). Turn down here, and park in the gravel lot – you will walk across the creek to get to the field.

You will know if you’ve gone too far if you hit the intersection where Route 228 disconnects with Route 8 and continues eastward. Also, the Starr Lumber complex is just past the turnoff for the field.

Softball Overview

  • Our softball team is a joint effort with the Grace Reformed Presbyterian Church to provide fun and fellowship for young and old.
  • We participate in a league of Christian churches in the Mars / Glade Run area north of Pittsburgh.  The league is sponsored by Gospel Fellowship Church, and we play at their field.  It is a wonderful opportunity to show love toward our brothers and sisters in Christ.
  • We typically play a 12  game schedule, and usually at least one playoff game.
  • We welcome all players (men and women, children older than 14) of all abilities and backgrounds to come and play.
